The story of Yan Po Yue, a young man who excels at everything but remains a loner who doesn’t fit in well with the team. After surviving grueling training and difficult missions, he becomes a true soldier who fights alongside his comrades. Yan Po Yue comes from a family of soldiers. Eager to prove himself to his father, he enrolls in military school just as the gaokao exams are beginning. During the new recruits’ orientation, Yan Po Yue achieves outstanding results but fails to win over his superior. He is assigned to the kitchen crew, which turns out to be a place full of people with hidden talents. Yan Po Yue participates in the selection process for an army special forces unit with only his own success in mind. However, he realizes he still has many shortcomings, and with the help of his comrades, he begins to become the soldier he has always aspired to be.
