Prim is the granddaughter of a patriarchal family. Upon her grandfather’s death, her numerous relatives await the agreed division of the estate. In order to receive their shares, each must comply with all the terms of the will, which include the requirement that Prim marry Joe, her cousin. However, to avoid having to comply, Prim brings Aran, a fellow university student, to the funeral – a man her family would not approve of, whom she introduces as her husband. All the relatives find themselves embroiled in an absurd battle, some striving to obey the will and others to disobey it.
