Overview:
The story is set in the early years of the Goryeo regime. Hae Soo, a 25-year-old woman from the modern era, is transported back in time to the Goryeo dynasty and becomes caught up in the conflicts and power struggles amongst the Wang princes. There, she falls in love with Wang So, a man who strikes fear into the hearts of the people.
Wang So is the emperor’s heir; he does not wish to be the centre of attention, yet he is a natural-born ruler. His personality is as cold as ice.

My all-time favourite drama? It’s in my top ten and it’ll never be taken off the list! ❤️
One of the best ever. Excellent cast, soundtrack and story. 10 out of 10
🤩
A wonderful historical drama – I’ve added it to my list – full of love
It’s one of the finest dramas – if not the finest – I’ve ever seen since I started watching them. What sensational actors, what performances and acting… INCREDIBLE, utterly gripping pathos! It made me laugh with them, cry with them until my heart broke, and dream and hope alongside them. What a masterpiece! I’d watch it a thousand times over, hoping each time that no one else gets lost and that those two hearts find each other again, forever!
Does anyone know if there’s going to be a second series?? Does anyone know if there’ll ever be a second series? THAT WOULD BE BRILLIANT!
@Wizzy No. There’s no news.
Ty Ty^^.... Spoiler . . . . . . . . . . . . It was good, but I was on tenterhooks throughout every episode, waiting to find out how this couple’s story would end.... Historical films are prone to tragic endings... A semi-open ending set in the present, but I have serious doubts as to whether there’ll be a sequel...
They’re wonderful ❤️❤️❤️ – their love transcends space and time. They’re right up there among my favourite dramas. ❤️
Thanks to you all, I’ve finally managed to watch it – it’s brilliant, and the actors are absolutely brilliant. Thank you for your translations 💐👏💞👏
Brilliant.... SPOILER . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . But, as the lead actor also mentioned, another ending was (also) planned – the very one I’d imagined and which, I think, we’d all been hoping for to some extent. It would have opened up the possibility of a second instalment, set in modern times, for this drama. The ending as it stands is so very sad, and after crying through all the final episodes, I was hoping for a final burst of joy. No… unfortunately, I just carried on crying… with a lump in my throat and a deep sense of bitterness, as if it had happened to me. Compelling… is an understatement. I felt the same emotions as the characters, thanks to their acting, which draws you in right from the start.
I’ve used up a whole pack of Kleenex...
A brilliant drama – I never tire of watching it and crying. Perhaps it’s because of the ending… you just can’t bring yourself to let it go, so you watch it again, telling yourself, "This time it’ll be the one." There was talk of a sequel… I’d have been absolutely delighted, but sometimes it’s best not to tamper with things that started out well by making sequels that might not live up to the original.
One of the best, if not the best, K-dramas ever. I’d give it a 10. I’d definitely recommend watching it.
Brilliant! On the podium, right after Goblin… thank you all for your brilliant work♥️🙏
I’ve rewatched this drama yet again – I’ll never tire of watching it because it’s etched in my heart and will stay there forever. Every time I watch it, it’s always a whirlwind of emotions, and their love is something truly unique. There’s always hope for a happy ending when I rewatch it, but then I realise that’s not the case, and that’s when the tears start flowing. So, anyone who hasn’t seen this wonderful, magnificent, spectacular masterpiece absolutely must watch it – you won’t be disappointed; quite the opposite, in fact........... ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Well done to him, but the story is trivialised and nonsensical
What can I say? I’ve finally managed to get hold of it. It’s been on my list for ages, but better late than never.
Wonderful in every sense – unforgettable, unique, marvellous. I can never thank you enough for translating it. Thank you.
A good, gripping and moving drama. The historical period is well portrayed, the characters are well-developed and the music is lovely. I’m hoping for a special episode to give the two main characters a happy ending. Thank you for all your hard work on the subtitles.
Thank you so much for the brilliant translation work, and thank you so much for letting me catch up on must-see dramas that I hadn’t seen yet! It would be wonderful if, one day, they decided to make the sequel as well… Thanks again
I watched it in two days; it really moved me – it was absolutely lovely – and it’s now in my top 10❤️
