Sweet 18 (2004)
Kwon Hyuk Joon’s grandfather, head of the traditional Kwon family, agrees to an arranged marriage between his grandson, Hyuk Joon, and Yoon Jung Sook when she is born. Over time, however, the two families lose contact because, shortly after the contract was signed, Jung Sook’s family found themselves in financial difficulties and were forced to flee. Eighteen years later, Jung Sook has grown into a rebellious and headstrong young woman who simply wants to live her life as she sees fit. With few ambitions, she is the exact opposite of Hyuk Joon, a young man obsessed with success. When the two meet again, they clash violently: Jung Sook thinks her boyfriend is simply boring, whilst Hyuk Joon considers her an immature child. Despite this, they get married. What follows is the story of their new life together as a couple and the obstacles they will have to face.
