Hioki, in his penultimate year of sixth form, finds himself in a new class, separated from his classmates from previous years. Whilst despairing of finding a group that will accept him during a school trip, he is invited by a former secondary school classmate to join him and three other students: the Magnificent Four. At first, Hioki feels intimidated because he doesn’t feel he measures up to the four most popular pupils in the school, but gradually he grows closer and closer to one of them.
