Prim is the granddaughter of a patriarchal family. Upon her grandfather’s death, her numerous relatives await the predetermined division of the estate. In order to receive their shares, each must comply with all the terms of the will, which include the requirement that Prim marry Joe, her cousin. However, to avoid complying, Prim brings Aran—a college classmate whom her family would never approve of—to the funeral and introduces him as her husband. All the relatives find themselves embroiled in an absurd battle—some fighting to obey the will, others to disobey it.
