The fishing boat Jeonjiho sets sail in the hope of filling its nets, but despite their efforts, the nets remain sadly empty. So, to avoid returning home empty-handed, the crew decides to take on stowaways from China and smuggle them into Korea. On the way back, however, the Jeonjiho first encounters a storm and is then intercepted by a Korean Coast Guard vessel, forcing the stowaways to hide until they die. The film is based on a stage play, which in turn was inspired by a true story. The incident occurred on October 7, 2001, near Yeonsu, and twenty-five Korean stowaways aboard the Taechangho suffocated in the holds, and their bodies were dumped into the sea.
