Refusing to give up on his daughter, Jeong Hwan takes her to a quiet seaside village called Eunbong-ri, where her mother, Bam Sun, lives. In a world obsessed with eliminating the infected, Soo Ah shows strange signs of awareness: she reacts to music, to her grandmother’s sharp taps with a back scratcher, and even to faint traces of human speech.
