After a failed confession to her first love, high school student Mikoto Ochiai considers jumping off the school building’s roof. However, her thoughts are interrupted by the arrival of Jin Haiba, the physics teacher known for being a slacker and the butt of the students’ jokes. Calmly, he lights a cigarette and asks her to explain the events that led her to the edge of this cliff. Rather than dissuading her from killing herself, he makes a request: will she have a romance with him before she dies?
