Shikamori Umi (Airi Suzuki) is a member of the production staff for a popular television talk show. She is overworked by her superiors, who constantly make her work overtime. As a result, she hardly ever takes time for herself, is always tired, and has no time for a romantic relationship. When she ends up falling asleep on set during a live broadcast, the embarrassment she feels leads her to reevaluate her life. Realizing there’s no way to change her boss’s expectations of her, she decides to quit the company. So she changes jobs, moving into a completely different field: the world of makeup and cosmetics. She finds an entry-level position at a makeup agency called Animal Beauty. The start isn’t exactly promising, and she immediately gets off on the wrong foot with the company’s CEO, Sakaki Keisuke (Jin Shirasu), but she soon discovers that he isn’t as gruff as he seems—and that he might even have a crush on her… She also meets Kazao (Kyoya Honda), a charming and talented photographer who works with the agency. A friendship blossoms between the two, and a mutual attraction begins to develop. Will Umi’s career change turn out to be the right choice? And could it even lead her to love?
