Seoul is devastated by a powerful earthquake. The Hwanggoong Apartment is the only place still standing after the earthquake. The survivors head to the Hwanggoong Apartment. Young Tak (Lee Byung Hun) temporarily leads the residents of the Hwanggoong Apartment. Young Tak tries to protect the residents from outsiders. Min Sung (Park Seo Joon) was a civil servant. He is chosen by Young Tak and becomes his assistant. Myung Hwa (Park Bo Young) is Min Sung’s wife and a nurse. She takes care of the injured.
