The devil is released into the human world and soon opens a gateway to a parallel world; he asks the Korean emperor, Lee Gon, whether he has led a better life in the other world and whether he could live there. In response to the devil’s question, he tries to close the gateway to the parallel world, whilst South Korean detective Jung Tae-Eul tries to protect the lives of the people around her and the person she loves.
