Bai Shuo, the governor’s youngest daughter, has vowed to seek immortality in order to repay a favour. During her journey in search of immortality, she meets the powerful demon king, lord of the Palace of the Shining Moon, Fan Yue. Initially strangers, the two gradually move from mutual distrust and manipulation to mutual affection, until they fall in love. Together with Fan Yue and the two guardians of the Palace of the Shining Moon, Tian Huo and Cang Shan, Bai Shuo continues her journey. Despite the obstacles, their friendship, love and desire are so strong that they overcome every barrier, allowing them to embrace one another wholeheartedly.
