Miyata Akihiro and Iwanaga Takashi have known each other since their secondary school days; at the time, something was beginning to develop between them, but for no apparent reason, Miyata brought the relationship to a complete end. Years later, now in their thirties, Akihiro Miyata and Takashi Iwanaga find themselves working together by chance: the former is an editor for a magazine, the latter a successful university professor and acclaimed writer. This reunion brings long-dormant feelings back to the surface; Miyata’s world slowly begins to crumble, and he tries his utmost not to get involved with Iwanaga again.
