The story of Yan Po Yue, a young man who excels at everything, yet remains a loner who does not fit in well with the team. After surviving gruelling training and challenging missions, he becomes a true soldier who fights alongside his comrades. Yan Po Yue comes from a family of soldiers. Keen to prove himself to his father, he enrols at military academy just as the gaokao exams are getting underway. During the new recruits’ assembly, Yan Po Yue achieves outstanding results but fails to win over his superior. He is assigned to the kitchen team, which turns out to be a place full of people with hidden talents. Yan Po Yue takes part in the selection process for an army special forces unit, thinking only of his own success. However, he realises he still has a lot to learn in many areas and, with the help of his comrades, begins to become the soldier he has always aspired to be.
