Nian Yang Xiao, in order to save the woman he loves, must save her counterpart, who lives in a parallel universe. To ensure that both versions of his beloved survive, he must find the assassin who is out to kill her – and who has a mark on her ankle – before it is too late. In fact, whoever dies in one of the two universes dies in the other as well. The parallel universe is the complete opposite of his own: the woman who loves him in his world hates him in the other, and he must face gangs of criminals who want his alter ego dead, with the help of a newly acquired power that can stop time.
