At school, Lee Da Yeol spends most of his time as an outcast. As he isn’t popular, Dae Yeol’s only real joy is the time he spends with the archery club. A talented archer, whose skills have earned him a scholarship to the school, Dae Yeol doesn’t mind being an outsider, as long as he is free to pursue his greatest passion. But an ill-timed encounter with a devilishly charming classmate lands him in trouble and jeopardises his precious scholarship. Jo Tae Hyun, one of the most popular pupils at the school, has always enjoyed a level of freedom that few secondary school pupils have ever achieved. Able to get away with practically anything, the whole school has no trouble believing his version of events when he’s caught fooling around in the nurse’s office with another student and Da Yeol. Claiming that Da Yeol was trying to snog him, Tae Hyun puts the archer’s scholarship at risk. Keen to clear up the misunderstanding, Da Yeol does everything he can to try and quash the rumours, but however hard he tries, it isn’t enough. Completely devoid of remorse for what he has done, Tae Hyun seems to take a kind of malicious pleasure in doing everything he can to make Da Yeol’s life miserable; his favourite method is to follow Da Yeol everywhere. Unable to shake Tae Hyun off, Da Yeol spends his days loathing his shadow, but the more time he spends with him, the more conflicted his feelings become, leaving him to wonder exactly where the line between hate and love lies.
