Lee Je Ha followed in the footsteps of his father, who was considered a master, and became a film director. His debut film garnered worldwide attention, and he was hailed as a genius, but he became obsessed with the possibility of a “second-year slump.” He hasn’t worked on anything for the past five years. Deciding to end this five-year hiatus, he begins working on his second film. The screenplay tells a love story involving a person with a limited life expectancy. While researching for the film, Lee Je Ha meets Lee Da Eum. She is an aspiring actress suffering from a rare, incurable disease; she doesn’t know how long she has left to live, but she is very sociable, and everyone at the hospital knows her. Lee Da Eum recommends Lee Je Ha for her film and takes an interest in the screenplay; this becomes a turning point for her as an aspiring actress. While working together on the romantic film, Lee Je Ha and Lee Da Eum, who both have their own health conditions, begin a romantic relationship.
