Diao and Yi get engaged, and as the wedding approaches, Kon Diao grows increasingly sad because her fiancé is too focused on his work... and, even though her name means "alone," she refuses to resign herself to a life without love.

The fear of loving Hia Yi without being loved in return becomes too much for him to bear, so he decides to flee to Switzerland, unaware that Hia Yi, while trying to catch up with him, will be involved in a car accident.
