It tells the story of ordinary people who realize they’ve amounted to nothing in their entire lives and do their best to turn things around; in particular, it centers on a 40-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man. Boo Jung (Jeon Do Yeon), a woman in her forties who works as a ghostwriter, feels lost and as if she is incapable of doing anything. Although Boo Jung has gotten this far by doing her best, she feels she has lost all meaning in life when one day she is confronted with her failures. As she watches the steep decline of her life unfold before her, Boo Jung plunges headfirst into that darkness. Kang Jae (Ryu Jun Yeol), a 27-year-old who is afraid of himself for fear of ending up as a nobody. Kang Jae runs a service where people play the roles requested by clients. Kang Jae is a risk-taker striving to overcome his poverty and achieve a higher social status. He tries to take various shortcuts while dreaming of becoming rich, but feels as though he has achieved nothing when faced with a tough uphill battle. There, he meets Boo Jung and changes his mind.
