In the ultra-competitive world of esports, the all-male ZGDX OPL team is second to none. Hordes of adoring female fans follow the team wherever it goes. But when one of the team’s star players suffers a hand injury, ZGDX captain Lu Si Cheng – tall, handsome and notoriously hard to please – is in no hurry to choose a replacement. The petite Tong Yao, a lollipop lover, is instead a budding amateur player, obsessed with the OPL. Her skills are exceptional, but she is firmly convinced that in the male-dominated world of professional gaming, romance is a big no-no – even though her ex-boyfriend was a player. When the manager of the ZGDX team learns of her abilities, he contacts her, thinking that recruiting her as the scene’s first female player will help land a major PR coup. Lu Si Cheng initially rejects the offer, but eventually agrees to take her place – a move that divides the team’s fanbase.
